What makes you think Armstrong gets a bit lost in the history of jazz? Genuinely curious as to why you say that, as anyone who has done any sort of study in the genre...even a cursory study...knows that there probably is no more significant figure in the history and development of the form than Armstrong. And that’s not a hyperbolic statement in the least.
